Default TP-425 Thunder Power Charger...Power Source?

Hi Pilots..

I'm new to Rc. I recently purchased TP-425 Thunder Power charger for my Li-Po Battery. When I opened the box I was surprised to find that I need
a power source to power the charger.....;-(....to charge the battery.

According to the directions it requires a 12 volt dc power source. Can somebody recommend a safe 12 volt power source that I can use power this charger?

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Thanks,
-Chris

Go to Tower Hobbies and order one of their maintenace free batteries, or go to your local Bike (motorcycle) shop and buy a 12v lead-acid battery; both are compact.

Radio shack has some 12v power supplies too....but they are a bit expensive...

or if you are good with wiring and a bit of soldering....you can make one with a PC power supply

I used my laptop power supply because it just happened to match the tp-425 input specs.

You may be able to find a cheap laptop power supply on ebay or at your local computer surplus warehouse.
Just make sure you get one that supplies 11v-15v DC at 4 amps.
