ESC cut out when flying wider wing, battery discharge 6C...
I'm new to the brushless world and I'm having a problem with my ESC cutting out. I fly a MM Magpie with a BP-12, 8x4 prop, and 11.1 GWS lipo via a CC Thunderbird 18 for 21 oz of thrust at 11.1 amps. Normally I fly it with a 46" wing and all goes fine. I recently purchased thier AP wing which measures 54" and every time I fly it after about 5 minutes the ESC cuts off and I crash. I have no throttle and no control surface movement. Once I retrieve it the ESC feels warm but everything works again. I'vr been asking around on here and it was suggested that it may be becuase the GWS battery has a max discharge ratge of 6C. I know that sucks and I only found out about that once I purchased the battery. I was also thinking that the lipo pack is using micro deans which are rated at 10A (oops!). I've just always used the micro's, I didn't think about that until just now.
So...
1. Could the 6C rate be causing the problem?
2. Why would just switching from a 46" to 54" wing cause this to happen?
3. What happens if you exceed the 10A's with the micro deans?
