Default E-flight 370 outrunner problem.

I bought a 370 outrunner used for a plane and when i crashed it later the motor makes these weired noises. I thought it was the shaft so i replaced it but that wasnt it. Now i am fusterated. It sounds like almost a grinding noise. BTW the prop is a 11x4.7 is that to big for it? I am also using a 3 cell lipo and an e light 20amp speedo.

If you have the 1080 KV I always ran a 10x3.8 APC slowflyer. You could try changing the propeller and see if that helps. If it doesn't you might need to send it into Horizon for repair.

It probably is a grinding noise... One or more magnets grinding on the stator...

I second Bevo's vote to send it in for repair. Even if you're not the original owner, Horizon will fix it, possibly for a small fee, possibly for free. It won't hurt to send it in and have them determine if it's even worth fixing. They'll definitely do that for free.

Alright I am HOPing the prop is just to big so i am going to try a smaller prop but more thn likely i will have to send it in. Thanks for the respons. I also wanted to point out that when you spin it free handed close to your ear there are no signs of a grinding noise.
Thanks

Tested the motor with a smaller prop and luck went south. Also the one of the wires is not connected (blue).
