Default joining lithium packs

Question needing a straight forward answer please !. I have 2 x 3s 1p 3700mah 11.1 v evo 20 pack . Can these packs be joined simply by connecting red-red & black-black on the main wire's into the pack . I presume this would then give me a 6s 2p 7400mah 22.2volt pack.I then would separate the packs and charge / balance as a 3s 1p pack . These i intend to use on my t rex 600, the packs are rated 20c 74amp continuous ! ? . your help would be much appreciated

If you want to create a series connection you simply join the red from one pack with the black from the other. They way you stated would create a parallel 3S2P pack. You might want to consider one of the commercial series connectors.
