Default Edge 540 25 amp need battery info

My Grandson bought a set-up, used Edge 540 ($68 version) and we want to know what size and brand of Lipo cell to buy. We know it has to be 3-cell. Thanks Capt,n

A little more info about the motor and it's requirements would help pick the correct pack for the setup.

The Thunder Power packs are one of the more well known, and good performing brand names - TP2100-3SPL 2100mah 3 cell 11.1 volt Pro-Lite Series LiPo

Great Planes electrifly, E-Flite, Tanic, Apex would all be other options. It kinda depends on what you have in terms of a charger/balancer and what will work with your existing setup without having to by a bunch of connectors or adapters.

The motor is a 25 amp and the power control is rated at 25 amp. I will try to post a photo of what we have. Thanks much for the help.....we are new into this e-flight but we both have some know-how with electronics. Capt,n

Ok, then any 2100mah pack rated at or above 15C should do the trick. That Thunder Power 2100mah 3 cell Pro-Lite would be my recommendation.

I just read that a flyer uses A123 cells. I never heard of them??? Will they work on the Edge 540? Thanks Capt,n

Don't know if you have the same Edge 540 as I have but Know that if so it has 4 servos. If true than you have to be sure to use an EFC that will handle that or go to seperate battery pack for Rx/servos. Also Mine came out very tail heavy so required adding nose weight. Total weight came out to 4.5 #'s doubt that the 25A motor will do it.
