Default Brought back LiPo from the dead!?!?

My first Lipo battery experience was not good.....I left my pack (2100 mah 11.1v 3-cell) in my plane over the weekend...and
guess what? the charger would not charge it!!!. I told the charger it was a 2 cell and let it charge for
1/2 hour. Then I ran it through a normal cycle and it read 12.6 volts. I balanced it, and have charged it twice since then...it has not swelled, or shown any abnormal signs. I am keeping a close eye on it always, and it seems ok. What happens to a lipo anyway when it is discahrges too low. Mine seems to have survived the discharge. any input???

It depends on the make of the Lipo. Usually, a fully discharged Lipo will have officially "expired". However, if you have the Lazarus brand..........

Generally if you can bring them back there should be a lose in capacity. Just be sure to monitor the pack to make sure that it doesn't start to swell.

Taking a guess but I bet the charger wouldn't recognise it as a 3 cell as the voltage was too low, telling it the pack was a 2 cell might have been enough to get it to start to charge.
