LiFePo123
Hello world,
Here's the deal: I am planning on scratch building an electric ducted fan jet for a 4S system. I want to put L123's in it, but I only have the charger for lipos, liions, nimh's, and nicads, so what can I do aside from buy another $60-$100 charger? Are there any cheap chargers for charging just L123's, or should I just stick with good old Lipos? I know you can charge lithium ion batteries with lithium polymer software - i've seen it work fine - but can you charge L123's with different software?
Responses are well needed.
Thanks

RE: LiFePo123
the cell pro for 60 to 70 bucks would do ya.
Alternately if your charger has a good power supply mode with the LiFe's you can use that as well.
and nope LiFe's run quite a bit lower voltage than the Li-ion's and the LiPo's

Every lithium ion chemistry has a different voltage. You'll need to find out what the maximum charge-to voltage is and stay under it. Could be that one of the voltages your charger uses will work, but do your homework first and use a good volt meter.

charge for lifepo's is something like 3.2v as opposed to 3.7v for lipo right?
