Default Max Thrust at 40 ampers

Hi all,

I have a project and would like to hear your comments about it.

I would like to hear your recommendations about my power system. I have a limit of using maximum 40 ampers.

And the planes weight is 9 kg. Span is 2.2 metres.

And I would like to know your Esc, battery and brushless engine recommendations.

Thank you.

Default RE: Max Thrust at 40 ampers

9kg @ 220W-330W/kg.... that's 1980W-2970W... if you are limited to 40A, to get 100W/lb...220W/kg. ...you'll need at least 50v under load... that's about a 14-15 cell Lipo. You will need a very low Kv motor to be able to run a big prop at 50V.... and a serious HV ESC which can cope with that too.
