Is my Triton charger outdated?
I have not been active in the hobby for a few years, although I've kept up my club and AMA membership.

Looking at getting back into active flying again, and possibly upgrading some of my glow planes to electric, I was wondering if my 1st generation Triton charger is outdated.

I see most lipo packs these days require a balancing charger. Do I need a new charger, or is there some gizmo I can put between charger and battery? Are there any articles out there than can bring me up to current speed on todays battery handling/charger basics?

RE: Is my Triton charger outdated?
The Triton is a good charger, but can only charge up to 5 cell lipos. You can get good balancers to use with the Triton. However, today you can buy a charger that will charge and balance up to 8 cell lipos for the same price as a good go between balancer. I have a Turnigy charger that I like very much, but I still use my Triton as well.
