Will you still be offering just the frame kit (so I can use my BCP unit)? Price is a consideration for me as to whether or not I get this or just move to a larger, 400 size heli...

Yes you can get the frame and belt drive separately.

- Belt drive and CNC frame:

Include CNC frame with belt drive system
* CNC Frame with G10 black fiber material
* All CNC parts with aluminum 7075
* Belt
* Tail Boom
Price: 55usd

Requirements:

Requires
* 1 x main shaft
* 1 x auto rotation main gear
* 1 x landing gear
Pricing 19.99usd for all 3 items above

For tail system requires
* 1 x complete tail system with all plastic parts (15usd separate)
OR 1 x complete tail system with all cnc parts (75usd separate)

This whole system can work with stock complete head or can use HDX300-HS

That's really cool. The only problem I have is that it seems like I'd be pretty much replacing everything in the CP, I may almost be better off just getting a new helicopter. On that point, you've got a real solid setup there, put it together with all your custom parts and sell it as a kit maybe! When do you plan on releasing it? I'll be sure to keep an eye on it.

I'd like to see the video of it flying... in a format other than Real-Player. There's got to be one floating around on the net somewhere. Steve, in your opinion, Does this thing fly MUCH better than the BCP? I've been following all the feedback on the forums.... I want a micro that flys like a mini (read: more solid flight characteristics). I'd like to really be able to fly it in my backyard; not have to drive to a park to really wring it out.

If you can get a whole new helicopter with CNC frame and belt tail-rotor for $90, let me know.

How much does the heli weigh with all of these CNC parts exactly?

I think it's going to cost more than 90 bucks to upgrade the cp with that anyways. I can't imagine getting that upgrade without a brushless setup, and if you go that far you may as well get your own receiver in there, then you need a new gyro, and new servos would probably help too. After your done with that, you're a little over 90 bucks I'd say, not to mention the only stock part left on it would be the head assembly, which they sell a CNC version of. That's all I'm saying. Ohh, I think I can convert that video for you, or you could just download virtualdub and do it yourself. From what I saw in the video it made it rock steady in the air. It seemed to fly more like you'd expect a TRex to.

We are working on some more to make it much better for 3D.

how about the blade cp pro thats just coming out... im pretty sure it's just about the same frame, but upgraded to bell-hiller head and symmetrical blades, 370 main motor etc...
would it be compatible, do you guys know?

if so, i'd be very interested, would seem alittle easier platform to work off of than the "old" cp... just a thought

Hey Steve, when will you have the blue belt drive tail back in stock? Also, how does the $15 plastic belt driven tail perform?

I ordered the belt drive, thinking about a brushless motor, do I have to replace the 4in1 or can you tell me how it will control the 4th servo that controls the tail rotor?? if i have to replace what would be a good gyro,,. I have a JR 6102 if i have to go separate, i think it will work.. thanks

Helidirect, in the picture on your website, what are you using as a tail boom support?

Steve, a couple of quick questions, what is your set-up? I see you are running a Gyro. Are you also using a brushless set-up? Is this the Pro or a totally revamped CP. It looks great flying, far above the stock Blade. What $ would it take to get mine to fly like yours?

So, how much would it cost to upgrade a Blade CP pro to a belt drive and CNC head? What about the extra servo?
I am new to this, but I am learning. I am having to replace parts and don't know if I should be replacing them with better parts than just stock ones....

Thanks,

Jon

For belt drive you need

- 55usd belt drive and frame
- main shaft, main gear, landing gear - 19.99
- plastic tail 15usd
- cnc head 110usd

for electronics

- if you don't want to go total separate

* you can use powerzone board (coming soon) with brushless motor and esc. You can use stock tx, 4-in-1.
you need a new tail servo, you can use stock cyclic servos.

- if you want to go total brushless

* you can use new gyro, esc, brushless motor and a new receiver and a new tx.

My set up

- Gyro: HDX gyro (can use telebee, align gyro, gy401, gy240)
- ESC: castle creation 25A (can use any esc from 18A to 25A)
- brushless motor 400DH (i have HDX brushless 3800kv 24.99usd)
- receiver: Electron 6
- Servos hitec HS55 x 3 for cyclic, HS50 for tail (can use stock servos for cyclic)
- Battery: Apex 1350mAH (can use Epower 1300mAH, thunder power 1350mAH)

Strongly recommend for brushless set up.

yes that would be fine. when you go for 3D need higher rpm motor, we are testing 4000-4900kv motors

You don't have to replace the 4-in-1, you can go either with a powerzone or you can go with new gyro and new bruhless esc and still able to use the 4-in-1 and stock tx.

Gyro: HDX head lock gyro, telebee gyro, gy401, gy240.

some pictures with the new HDX300 fully bling, this is a custom built machine by JEFF

Note: for tail boom support, we have it coming soon. You can use trex boom support and cut down a little bit.

so you NEED the metal head to use the belt drive?
