What else can they do? It sounds like they made a mistake in forcasting the demand for their parts, and they are owning up to it. It isn't like they can flip a switch and the parts will magically appear. I will continue to support them as long as this does not become their standard operating procedure.

I think the longer shafts that are sold at bladecxpro.com are actually repackaged parts made for the Dynam Vortex. For sure that guy's motors are from the Vortex. I bought the longer shafts from him, but haven't confirmed they're the same as the Dynam Vortex parts, which are a lot cheaper than his marked up prices. I suspect they are Vortex parts, and I scaled pictures of the Vortex parts on bphobbies.com and they look like the longer shafts. Maybe someone can confirm this. You'll also need the upgraded CNC regular-length inner shaft (EFLH1240), so that you can scavenge the upper rotor head from it and attach it to the longer inner shaft. His inner shaft doesn't come with an upper blade hub (again, because I suspect he removes it because it's a Vortex part, which isn't compatable with the CX blades). Adding the CX aluminum upper blade hub to the longer inner shaft makes it CX compatable. By the way, you'll also need the longer outer shaft, too. You can't extend one without the other. Neall
why do you need the longer outer?the inner would just have more shaft sticking out of the upper bearing, a big plus for us,a hair more fragile than stock, but with less tip strikes.I had a strike last night, with hardly any input. New cx2 at christmas, about 20 batts through it now, with outside ff and a lot of inside, flys fr''''' awesome.

Hopefully horizon didn't put TOO much pressure on their parts guys overseas,... our quality parts might not be what they were not long ago[]

If you go with the longer inner shaft, you must also go with the longer outer shaft. It is not acceptable to have "more of the inner shaft" sticking up through the bearing at the top. The inner shaft is "sandwiched' such that there is no vertical play in the inner shaft. To accomplish this, the inner shaft gear (under the chassis) must be tight against the bearing which is seated within the outer gear. At top, the rotor head must be firmly against the bearing sitting in the "bearing cup" attached to the outer shaft. You have to lengthen both the inner and outer equally. The difference from "stock" is that there is about 5/16" more length between the upper and lower blade hubs. It's not huge but it helps. Neall

We are finally starting to get parts for the cx/2 in stock at our local hobby shop.

They aren't getting in all they order, but, at least there's a trickle of parts coming in now.

They have about 30-50 sets of upper and lower blades on backorder with Horizon and they got about a third of that in in the last two days.

Things are starting to look up guys, keep on Horizon!

Still waiting...

I called a local shop and they said they expected things to start coming in next week and getting normal the week after. It's pretty amazing how all this stuff sold out.

When I finally get my heli fixed I'll have to start all over on learning how to fly it!

Hi Guys,

Yep, parts are always in a big demand... There's a ton of guys flying the heli. Guess we, have to wait our turn.. Frustating at the least.

If anyone is looking for blades, Hobby Wholesale in Edmonton has a pile of them! I've already told several people in here about them and they've phoned and ordered the blades no problem! Enjoy!

What makes it worse is that the people on eBay who list repair parts for sale don't actually have them! Their auction ends and you pay for the parts thinking you'll have them in a week, but then a day or so later, they e-mail you saying the parts are currently on backorder! To me, that sounds a lot like false advertising... How can you sell something you don't have? I was pretty darn PO'ed about that!
I think the best way to curb that problem is to give either neutral or negative feedback to the seller. They shouldn't advertise an item they don't have in their hands, and if they DON'T have the item, it should clearly be labeled as a pre-sale.
