RE: cx2 wont lift off
ok new battery, new motor, checked the shaft..i assume they are not slightly bent..as it will cause binding
gears ok and meshing properly? , possible there is binding/friction and thats the first thing i would check
did you install the step washer and locking washer correctly?
are you blader holders upgraded aluminum or stock plastic are the blade holding pins broken?
if your using microheli lower blade holder did you screw in the allen set screw all the way that its hitting the
inner shaft causing binding?
is your swashplate stock/plastic is it separated? or binding?
check these first and im sure somebody will jump in for something else that i missed...

oly,
And make sure you have not locked down things too tightly at the lock collars.
There needs to be some "play" between both collars and the bearings.
I use two thickenesses of paper stuck in between.
Do you have any other symptoms like yaw?
kamov,
Do you have the MicroHeli lower rotor head?

RE: cx2 wont lift off
I had the same problems with mine last week. I just would not fly longer then 2 minutes no matter which of the 4 batteries I used. Spend 2 hrs and took the whole thing apart. I found some bearing oil on key parts helped the most. I put oil on all the bearings and the swash plate. I even put oil on the pegs that hold the blades on. Check the free play of the blades when attached, one set of mine were too tight and had to be trimmed with an xacto. My inner rod had a very very slight bend and so did the fly bar. I replaced both of those too. Then the motors seemed to be pushing on the gears too hard and there is no way to adjust them that i saw so I just squeezed the top of the motors towards the main shaft and it fixed that problem.
After 2 hrs I got her back together and took it outside. Then a little kid said "Hey Mister, how high will that go?" Just had to show off and hit the top electric line and fell 40 feet to the cement. Bent the shafts again. Sigh.

You can adjust the motor pinion to gear mesh; loosen both motor screws slightly, roll a strip of regular weight paper in between the gears and tighten the motor screws. Works great. Make sure to rotate the gears by hand because the gears are never perfectly round, and make sure the gear mesh never 'bottoms' out and binds. There should be just the slightest bit of play in the gears.
Too tight, and You definately will notice it in performance and endurance, too loose and You will strip them easier in a crash and will prematurely wear out.
Unless You are like Me and crash alot and replace the shafts often enough that the gears never have a chance to wear out.

Check the pitch of your blades also. Recently I got 2 packs of lower blades that had hardley any pitch. I took them back to the LHS and they replaced them .Now I have found that if you heat your blades in hot water you can bend them just alittle to get some more pitch, it softens them up till they cool.Just some thing to check.
