What are the sticky weight pads for?

What are the sticky weight pads for?
Not sure what you call them, but they came with my blade, they are pads that seem to be for weight balancing the choppa! Whats the deal with these things and should I be using them and what for???

Are they square shaped with white film on them. That is double sided tape for the servos if you have to remove them. Or you can use it for the receiver too.
