Default can you access the AUX1 channel form the DX6i on the B400

I want to hook up some lights for orientaion I was wondering if you can control the AUX1 on the reciever form the radio on the B400 and if so how?

You would need to replace the AR6100E with a 7-channel receiver. The stock receiver only has six channels.

Aux 1 is the third cyclic servo so you can't use it to control anything else.

And you'd need more than just a 7 channel receiver, you'd need a 7 channel TX also (IOW a DX7). The stock TX and RX both are only 6 channels and having a 7th channel on the RX doesn't do you any good if the TX isn't sending a 7th channel.

But if you want the lights for orientation I would think you'd want them on the entire flight so you don't really need to control them, you just need power for them which doesn't require a 7th channel at all. You can just use a "Y" cable to tap power off one of the channels or even use the battery port on the receiver to get power, just leave the signal pin unconnected.

You only need a channel to control the lights if you want to turn them on and off during flight.
