Default Does CX2 4 in1 gain shift with transmitter?

I want to use the LP5DSM transmitter from my CX2 to fly my MCX and MSR this winter, so I bound my CX2 4 in 1 to a DX5e transmitter. Its tail now twitches like mad, which makes me think that I need to turn down the gain on the 4 in 1. That is not a problem, but I do not understand why a change in transmitter would require an adjustment of the 4 in 1 gain. Can anyone explain this?
