Default problems with mSR spinning out of control (not TBE)

I recently bought an mSR. Lately it has started spinning out of
control. I can take it off and it will hover fine and then it will
start spinning uncontrollably to the left. No stick input or trimwill correct
this. At first I thought it was the battery losing power and the tail
motor losing power, but it will happen at the very start of the
flight. Is it possible that the tail motor is getting weak? Other than
this I love the helicopter and this is the only problem I have had in
7 weeks of ownership.

I have had to take the tail rotor off and clean the motor shaft one before on another heli. A hair was caught and causing some friction. I heard someone report a similar thing recently.

I would inspect the motor for hair and dirt as suggested.  It may also be the gyro in the 5 in 1, at which point I think it may be SOL, but I can not say for sure. Check dirt and even for loose wiring to the rear motor.

I contacted Eflite tech support and they said it is possibly the 5 in 1. Would I be better to spend $60 for a new one or get a BNF version of the Blade? What are some causes that would cause the 5 in 1 to malfuction? How complicated is it to change out? Thanks.

You said you bought it recently. Is it not under warranty?
