Hey guys,

First of all, it's a huge improvement, going from the standard 72 Mhz analog radio to the 2.4 Ghz units...

tea, if you have the DX7, and the AR6100, you are all set, just swap the stock 72 Mhz receiver with the new AR6100, and then of course you will have to set everything up in the radio, which can get involved, no doubt about it. But hardware speaking, you are all set, just swap the RX, and put the connectors in the appropriate pins/terminals on the AR6100.

Lanny,

Same story, I'm assuming the radio you mentinoned comes with the reciever. If not, you'll need a matching receiver, of course.

The hardware swap is easy guys, but the setup of the radio is another story...getting the pitch, throttle curves all setup...you basically need to start from scratch all over, with getting the servos at 90 degrees at mid stick, using sub trims if necessary, etc.

The payoff is well worth it though, the adjustabitlity of the computer radios is soo nice, and you'll be operating glitch free, and can dump the stupid wire antenna to boot!

Have fun...let me know if you guys need any more info...

The 3-in-1 units and receiver seem to looks like one unit. Can it be separated? Does anyone has done this and has some photos with instructions that can show me how. What about the external Gyro unit? Can I still connect the gyro control from channel 5 on old receiver to new AR6100 receiver? I want to be able to adjust the Gyro gain on the DX7 transmitter just like to old one. Also can you list out all the setting on the DX7 transmitter to for beginners users with expos and dual rates setting? Thanks in advance.
