Blade 400 3D balancing and parts problems
I bought the blade 400 3D last year and was flying it in fairly high speed winds. It flew very well until I decided to land and a gust of wind hit her, taking her down the extra 5-6 feet. Since then I've had a hard time getting her back up and running properly. Since the first crash I've had blade weight issues, tail servo problems, tail mechanic problems and servos in general blowing gears.
Now I'm close to having all servos replaced, the tail push rod fixed, new blades and shafts installed. But the one big problem I have is trying to find weight tape for the blades from my LHS. I'm also looking for feedback on which head balancer is a good one. The other question I have is what servos are great upgrades for this heli that are MG, and I understand lots of people have problems with the HL Gyro. Whats a good replacement for that, as I don't want to find out what happens when it goes in the midst of 3D flight.
Please help I'm sick of seeing the heli shake it's tail feather on startup.
BTW: This is not my first heli, but it is my first 3D heli and I want it perfectly balanced. I do know how to fly, I just haven't needed to balance parts in 9-10 years.
Thanx guys
Sven
