Default CP Pro 2 back on recovery

I finally worked out the problem as to why I couldn't get it up in the air. The pitch somehow was way off target. I am not sure how something like that happens, but it did. I need to replace a servo due to a blade strike(typical eflite servo) and will try and go up for a real test flight tomorrow.

Hi Solman,

I was following your progress with the brushless upgrade, how has that been for you? I can't imagine all the wiring you had to tangle with.

Just out of curiosity why did you decide to put a brushless in it - were you not happy with the original motor?

Let me know if you feel the upgrade made a difference, both in performance and flight times.

Thanks,

Mark

I went brushless because it appeared that my speed controller was done at the time. I figured if I got to change it out, might as well go brushless. I kind of wish I didn't because it has turned into a pain in the butt, extra wires, speed controller, etc. I may have been told to use the wrong size pinion, because I am not seeing mad power out of it like I expected. As far as flight times, I will see today if it is different. I will also being putting a Huey body on it, so I really don't have a need for mad power. Either way, I guess in the end, I will have a more reliable motor and won't have to worry about brushes going out.

I bent a feathering shaft on my SR and it changed the pitch so much it would barely lift off a few inches at full throttle.

I have a cppro with brushless and hate the messy look. I have ordered a SR 2 in 1 it should really clean things up. I will also be grabbing a huey for it. Let us know what you think of the huey when you get it. B

I am so aggravated, I tried again to bind it to the DX6I and was going quite well. All of a sudden, it is giving me problems again and won't work right. I don't know if it is the power from the 2-1 or the receiver itself. I wish I hadn't cut the wire off the ESC so I could switch out power source to see if that is the problem.
