    GP giant stick electrafied

I started this project green to electric powered planes, my aim is to have a 2meeter pattern powered by electric. so i thought i would get a simple air frame to learn power systems on, make my mistakes on a less expensive airframe. [and sticks can be fun] I have had the ultra stick light from horizon in the past wich is no longer sold. that is why i went with the one from GP it is well built but weighs more ok now for my set up a turnigy 63 64 /230kv motor 18x8apc ele prop i am useing a electrifly silver series 80a high voltage esc .ok now my first error i am only running 8 cell the motor only turns 6000 rpm no heat in eather the motor or esc going to 10 cells as soon as they come the plane weighs 12lb and flys enemic on 8 cells am i on the right track

A 6364 motor of 230KV would be nice with a 10S set up but you try 8S with a bigger prop, try something in the 20" range and see how it works out. Let her pull more amps. Maybe a 20x10?

Vertical ... I pull about 1KW for a 40 sized sport plane. You want to pull about 2KW at the very least. You need to up the amps still.
