Default Dynam Smart Trainer Problem

I have one of the Dynam Smart Trainer airplanes. When I flew it everything was fine, until about 4 or 5 minutes into the flight, it started to lose power. I had to give it full throttle to try to land it. In the process the motor stopped and I had to dead stick land it. I then checked the battery (4 cell LiPo 4000 mAH) and it still had 60% remaining. Any idea what the problem is?

I would use a watt meter to see what is the actual load. The battery may not have been able to supply the draw and the ESC went in to LVC. Then when you landed, the battery regained a bit and tested at 60%.

Try different battery, check motor to spin free, pull on the prop and twist, see if it spins free or there is a rough grinding feel.

Swap out the ESC.

I contacted Motion RC. They said it might have just been an anomaly. They suggested I run it at full throttle for 1-2 minutes and see if the ESC gets hot. I ran it 2 minutes and the ESC was barely warm.
Everything spins freely.
