pylon racer (RACE RAT) configuration
Hi
I have a very old RACE RAT (graupner) and I need some help on the motor speed control batteries configuration.
This plane looks like a pylon racer so it should fly fast, the wing span is 39.37in (1000 mm) and its weight (without motor speed control and battery) is ~18on (500 g).
Currently a brushed motor 500 BB RACE 7.2 v (graupner) is installed .
My question are:
- Which speed control will fit the motor (how many Amps)?
- Should I use Lipo, Nicd or Nimh batteries, how many mAh and C?
- Can I use a micro receiver and servos or a regular ones, will there be a range problem?
- I'm considering a brushless conversion is it possible? an AXI 2212/26 + Phoenix 25 will be enough or I will have to use
bigger motors like the AXI 2808/20 + PHX 35 Amp?
