R3d,
Thanks for the post on where you ordered your Rougue. It is a great site. Gonna cost me more money.
After I asked you where you ordered it, I found it listed at Esprit Model down in Florida. Ordered mine there.
Thanks again,

Once you get one flying, please let us know how it flys, and post video's too if possible. I want to see what it can do.

I would also like to here about how it flies. The build thread in RCGroups indicates weight and balancing problems. So it would be good to here from someone else.

I received mine Rogue yesterday. Very nicely built airplane. Haven't decided on a motor yet. Really like the purple that they put on the airplane.

There is a CG problem with this plane, goto RCGROUPS and read the two threads.

There is an addendum in the kit refering to the corrected CG. Nicely built kit.

Flew my Rogue for the first time, yesterday. I'm running a Himax 2808-890. What a dissappointment. It flies the plane, but that's all. Way underpowered. Himax claims it will hover a 25 oz. plane. Not so. I have the 2100 3 cell Lipo right up against the firewall. It is still a little tail heavy. I thought I would try it there and see how it handled. It might have been ok with enough power, but really sucked with the low power. I landed it after about 4 minutes due to the lack of power. I got home. pulled out the Himax and ordered an AXI 2808-24. That should do the job. I love the looks of the plane and am sure it will be great with the power change. It will also move my CG to where it should be. This is a beautifully built airplane.

Bob

I just started my Rogue (life is busy right now) and I too chose the AXI 2808/24. Have you made the conversion yet? There is a vid posted on the other site of the rogue flying with that motor, looks sweet.

Let me know if you change your motor out and I will post my first flight with pics as soon as i can get the time to fly..

I maidened my Rogue day before yesterday. All I can say is SWEET! It flys really good. Stable to be sure. Mine has a Hacker A30-28. 11X5 E prop. Awesome vertical!

hello zi-chun Lin

The 2808-24 is a perfect motor for this plane in my opinion. The thrust to go vertical is abundant, and I did not have to counter balance any weight to the tail, in fact, I run the TP2100-3c Lipo's right up against the firewall to achieve a CG that is optimal for pattern/sport flying. If I want to do more 3d type maneuver's, I just adjust the placement of the battery back about 2 inches toward the gear and it locks into any high aspect maneuver. Upright harriers are a little tricky in that there is some very quick wing rock, inverted are more stable, but the transition to a hover is very quick, so I don't really notice it. The 2808-24 will pull the plane out of a hover with authority, i recommend using a Electric APC prop, somewhere in the 11/6 or 10/5 range. I use a APC E-11/6 and i get great performance while not increasing speed too much during regular sport flying. The 3d guys might want to move you toward a 12/4.7 or a 13/3.5 but i think that just makes more noise and you get less efficiency.

Good luck!
