Default E-Flite Mini Edge 540 and E-Flite 450/480

Does anyone have the combination of the E-Flite Mini Edge 540 and E-Flite 450/480? If so, what do you like or not about it? Do you have pictures of the installation? I have the in-runner and gearbox and I'm very unhappy with it.

I have the E-flite Mini Edge 540 with the Himax 2816-1220 with an 11x3.8 APC propeller. It flys really well. Lots of power for vertical performance. The new E-flite 480 wasn't out yet when I purchaced my Edge. I have a mini Stick with the 480 and like the proformance. Using a 3 cell 2100 and a 12x6E propeller from APC.

Bevo, what ESC are you using? I'm planning a similar setup for my ME. The 2816-1220, but was thinking on a 11x4.7 APC. I'm still figuring out if I should use a TP1900 or a TP2100 with it. They were out of 450's at the LHS and my urge for flying is too big so I bought the 2816.

Newbie to electrics:
I bought a 2816 out runner for my mini edge 540, because was told better than 400 and gear box.
Now have problem mounting it to fit cowl. The stick mount is too low and the other has no fire wall to mount to and would be too short if did. Can you tell me or show me how to mount it? Please!!

Well I just got my mini edge. I started out with a Himaxx 2808 it was to small. So I got the E-flite 450 and it was ok but I want more power, so now Im going to get a Himaxx 3516-1130 along with a Eflite 40 amp speed control flown with TP 2100MAH 3s1p. Also as far as mounting the eflite 450 I just built a motor box for it and extends forward, I just cut the stick mount off to put on the box. I live at 4500 feet so airs little thin and it really effects electric flight, 450 may have been great at sea level.

Well I didnt get the himaxx I got an Eflite 480 with a 35 amp speed control. I love it!! My edge now has the power that I want. So get the 480 and have lots of extra power when you need it.
