Pinning controls??
Hi All,
I'm putting together a Sebart Katana 30e with the suplied Hacker s30 motor, an will be running 3 cell Li-Pos (I might try 4 cells at some point).
My question is- With thIs size/weight/performance aircraft, is it neccessary to pin the hinges (which are the typical CA type) of the control surfaces, or is the ZAP enough??
Thanks
Ross W

RE: Pinning controls??
Hi Ross:
Have you heard the phrase "belt and suspenders"? Pinning hinges with round toothpicks will add to the security of the hinge at negligible weight. So Yeah pin them all, ailerons, elevators, rudder, flaps if you have them too.
