Chris,
Glad to hear that you are back safe and sound! My thought was to start our Global Hawk build thread this weekend.
I did the heading already on RCU, under RC ELECTRIC JETS and the subject is; GLOBAL HAWK UAV - EDF. This
should be great fun, right?

The box measures 40" x 9" x 5" in the old scale.
I was a bit concerned about the fan because the housing tunnel is not clean thru and there would appear to be plenty of opportunity for turbulence and consequently power loss, but we'll see when it all goes together. When I have done photos etc I will put em up on Jeff's new thread

I am not sure what book you are speaking about. Please refresh my memory with a post number
or a little more info and, hopefully, I can help.

RE: Nitromodels PREDATOR RQ-1B
hey did you take advantage of the 20% off discount? theres a link on front page a red colored box. it's a limited time offer.
does anyone know if they check if you're military personnel? I wanna save $10 for shipping, and my cousin aint back yet (otherwise I'd order through him).

Mike,
I'm not sure, but if you emailed Jason Cole at Hobby-Lobby, I believe that you would get the
correct info for mounting your new Flycam2. Let us know what the result is.

RE: Nitromodels PREDATOR RQ-1B
Spartan,
I can see where there could be a problem in finding the pre-made mounting holes in the main wing root
and the "V" tail roots. These factory made holes are hidden by the covering material and not so easy to
find. I just run my fingers over the area that the instructions show where the holes should be and can
usually feel the holes under the covering. However, here are some photos that my help you find them.

Spartan,
Also, be sure to check out the options for wing removal. The magnet idea has been replaced with the nylon
thumb screw option. See post # 116 page #5. Let me know what you think about this option.

RE: Nitromodels PREDATOR RQ-1B
papajeff,
thanks for the pics... I'll be off to the garage to feel up my fuselage sometime tommorow. As far as the removable wing options go, they're definitely something I'd like to incorporate into my predator (especially in light of comments regarding high wing stress at the root and the near impossibilty of making a permanent connection), but I am at present having difficulty finding the appropriate nylon nuts to make that happen, and I am a tool rental tech at Home Depot. Our selection of hardware odds and ends at my location is an abomination to say the least. My next place to hunt for those is Do-It Center. Cheers and thanks again for the assistance.

Spartan,
I found the nylon bolts in the green pull-out drawers in the Hardware isle at my local Hope Depot.
As a tool rental rep, they should get on the ball and get you a dozen or two just for the HECK
of it, right???? Ohhhhhhhhhhhh.................Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Junkjet,
Thanks for recommending the FI 156 Storch I really love the plane its fun to fly and turns the heads at the field . I was not able to find a kit small enough for EP power had to go with one from Bob Holman plans. 48" wing spawn just the right size for what I like to fly.

I think that Nitro has more on the way, but try Banana Hobby, Raidentech, United Hobbies or Evergreen models.
