Default Neat Pix

I just received these cool pix from a friend. Was wondering if anyone has ever tried this with R/C?

I doubt it would work due to the Reynold's Effect or the very small tire contact to the water. I suspect that the model would get pulled in the water almost immediately.

You can't scale water

The bigger the tire the safer is this maneuver. The angle of attack of the ircraft has to be positve all the time, which you control with power and elevator position. Pilots who have done this also crank some up trim so the plane wants to climb all the time in case there is slight burgle the plane will climb out of it. It is a very risky maneuver. Norm
