RE: flap-a-rons
I have found that using flaperons on my E-flite brio helps me land in my shorter than prefered field. they help it slow down. I also have then on my mini funtana but I don't use then unless I want to wow some six year olds by taking off in 3 feet

I did it on an E-Flite Cessna with less than desired results. Just like Walt said, it tip stalled bad. Before the big wreck I did have to come in with a lttle more throttle than I did without them. if you do go for it, experiment with the flaps in small incriments till you find the setting that won't make it cartwheel on the landing.

When you deploy flapperons it changes the camber of the wing, in theory it creates more lift and also more drag. The extra drag causes your so called tip stall as you then start to fly too slow. Its a Pitts how slow do you want to fly her? Best to leave the flapperons out and land her.
