carbon fiber control horns
Anybody replace the plywood control horns on their 50" electrics to carbon fiber? If so, where did you get them? Matt

RE: carbon fiber control horns
Because I need some that will glue into the slots in my control surface. I don't think the nylon would take the thick ca very well.

RE: carbon fiber control horns
Carbon fiber does not always take glue so well. And there are not tremendous loads placed on the control horns of a plane that size. If you want more strength just use a thicker plywood horn. You can trace the outline of the stock horns onto new wood and either add another layer to the stock horn or cut new ones from thicker plywood.
