Default 49" katana

I have a 49" aeromax katana arf. I need to find a motor for it. I am a rookie at electric flying. Been flying gas since 1984. I want it to have enough power to accelerate from a hover. I don't know what the total weight will be but I'm thinking 48 to 64 oz. Maybe a little more with 4s li-po's. Any suggestions on a motor. I am considering the scorpion 3014-1040 kv or the 3020-890 kv.

I just maidened mine. It flew well with a Turnegy 35-36c and an 11x5.5 prop.  It puts out 490 watts at 40 amps.  The airplane was very tail heavy so I added 4 oz of lead to the nose and used a 30c 3300 3s battery to balance it.

A little bigger motor would be even better to balance the nose out.

I ended up using a scorpion 3020. 840 watts @ 60 amps. Haven't flown it yet.

I tried a 4s pack with an 11x7 but at just under 975 watts at 72 amps I thought it was a little much on a Plush 40 amp ESC[X(]

Sounds like it was. I'll probably stick with a 3s.
