We Need ELECTRIC WARBIRD Forum
So how do we go about getting RCU to break out an Electric Warbird Forum. It is very tedious searching through the various electric forums to find data on warbirds. Considering their popularity I think it's time. The lack of such forum on RCU is the primary reason I do most of my electric warbird stuff on RCG. Come on guys do it!

I agree. Very surprised that there is no electric warbird dedicated forum here. I spend some time on RCG forums, but you have to wade thru lots of OT to get any info there.

As Gohmer says, you can always jump ship and go over to the largest and most popular of the RC Forums: http://www.rcgroups.com/electric-warbirds-248/

I already do that regularly and exclusively for electric stuff. My point is RCU is missing the boat by not having an dedicated electric warbird forum

You want to participate in that?

... what else do you want to get out of a specifically ELECTRIC warbird forum?

Yeah, I see your point. The room is there for it in that category, which I peruse, yet can't help but notice its devotion to large scale, engine powered craft. A specific electric warbird threadwould simply further aid in categorizing, and make it easier for the folks who've already posted above to find what they're looking for.I would support a new category, but do fine without it. I support others' suggestions in the interest of satifsfying their needs. Everybody should be happy, and if no one is hurt by an addition or change, what's it to anybody? It's up to the board managers/moderators in the end, and I trust their judgment.

I see RCU very much as a place geared towards "wet" power sources. And doing well as such. The Warbird forum is pretty busy, so there's probably a lot of information there.
For specifically electric matters, the sister forum Wattflyer has a warbird section:
http://www.wattflyer.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=50
It is quite possible that RCU would not want to compete with that.

What, competition is a bad thing? Heard that a lot lately, but hopefully a lot less of such defeatism in the future.
If people want an electric warbird thread, I believe these people should be supported, not criticized and silenced. If enough people ask for an electric warbird thread, I say, give the people what they want. Our noble birds are worthy of it, as are our posters.
God bless the United States of America, the Light of the World.

I wouldn't mind seeing a forum like that here. I, probably like most of you, go to the other RC sites but I've been looking for an electric warbird to start building. Another source for information would be appreciated.
