How Funky Is Your Chicken Contest!
Just to get the thread started:
My Funky Chicken painted like the worlds most famous chicken: MoorHuhn !!! (see www.moorhuhn.de)
Moorhuhn gets the cross in his eye when he is shotdown.....
Too bad i already painted my chicken before i found out about this thread.
This chick flies great, does really small loops.
I'm using a speed 400 @ 6v, 1000mA NiMH and a Schulze 20be controller. Flies about 6/7 min full throttle. Motor gets very hot thought. Still have to find a way for cooling the motor without mutilating the chick

Here's a photo of my Funky Chicken (or should that be Parrot!?!). It has a Speed 400, running on a 7 cell 1000mAh pack. It was painted with Acylic Paints, over 3 evenings.

Stock Chicken
Currently has 8 flights in 3 days...
Speed 400 Plus swinging a CAM 6x3 powered by a 1200 mA 2S E-TEC LiPo cells.
Static load WOT: 7.4A
flying weight: 15.5 oz.
Just pushing the envelope on the E-TECs but so far so good.
Working nostrils feed air straight throught the motor; 2 top inlets,
3 bottom outlets. Motor stays quite cool.
Definitely need to add some more holes along the beak-line for airflow over power cells.

How Funky Is Your Chicken Contest!
Here is a new twist to the contest.
We will pick the funkiest Funky Chicken to win a Pigi and now we will do a random drawing for a Teddy Bear. Now you have two ways to win! I know there are a lot of Funky Chickens out there and we want to see them. Send them in and you could win another bird!

RE: How Funky Is Your Chicken Contest!
My Funky Chicken:
Only deviation from instructions was the use of a Jeti 110 instead of the 6V SPEED 400+ integrated GRAUPNER/ESC motor combination.
Airborne system consists of a GWS receiver, two HITEC HS-55 servos, 6V SPEED 400 GRAUPNER motor, Jeti 110 and seven cell 1100 NIMH battery pack.
Ground guidance provided by HITEC Flash 5 System X TX. Been flying the Chicken for over three weeks now (35+ flights so far).
Ready to fly weight with 7 cell NIMH pack is 18 ounces. Using a 6 cell KR-600AE pack brings weight down to 17.4 ounces. A bit faster and more responsive but at the expense of reduced flight time.
This "bird" is a cluck to fly. I love it and will be getting another one soon.
