Morning all,
Quick question on repairing EPO foam. I have to repair a piece of EPO and don't want or really need to use epoxy becase of the weight as well as the cosmetics. Can I use CA, if so do I use Foam Safe or regular?

Regular CA and some kicker ...

Another good option:  Gorilla Glue that dries white.  It's foam safe.

Always test to be sure.  I think foam safe will work too, but is probably not necessary.  I use foam safe because the fumes of regular CA bother me.

Be vary careful using "regular" CA as it will melt some foams. I always test the foam first just to be safe.

Thanks all,
I took a little piece of advice from each of you and tried each one on some scrap EPO, actually an airplane that tried to re-kit itself :-). For the repair I needed (a broken elevator) the regular CA and some kicker worked great. That out of the way I found that the glue gun (low temp glue is all I had), Gorilla Glue and Regular CA all held very well. The foam safe CA did not really seem to bind to the foam as well. Not a scientific test, but I just thought I would pass the info on.

Did you use the kicker wit the foam safe?  You need the kicker.

I did use the kicker, and again it was no scientific test. The bond just didn't hold like the other glues. I very well may have not used enough or too much glue.
