Default Set up for two 4 cell Lipos

I have a Top flight P 51 60 and i am going to run some kind of electric motor. I would prefer to stay with a 6 cell with an E flight 90 but not sure if it will work good . What is needed to run two four cell lipos so i will have the equivalent of 8 cells.

A "Y" connector and an ESC that will handle 8s batteries.

The 90 on 6s running a 18X6 4 blade prop gives about 11 plus pounds of thrust. using a 20X8 2 bladed gives about 13.5 pounds of thrust.

Here is the calc program I used

That would be a SERIES wired Y connector to get an 8S.
A standard Y (parallel) would just be a 4S, but double the capacity.

HAHAHAHHA I need to proof read more. Some how or another I did not add the link and the (series) I put after the "Y" is missing.

New hours at work, thats my story and I am sticking to it.

Depending on your connectors.

I run 2 4cell 5000 mah packs in series with an E-flite power 90 motor and a 16x10 e prop in my Venus II. Makes 1800 watts and my plane weighs 9.5 lbs. Great top speed and vertical performance. You could definately use this set up in your bird.
