***Watts over Owatonna 2012***
I must apologize for the delay...
Day two of Watts over Owatonna is in the books. So far, the event has been great, even if the winds were not so much. Friday brought a 15 MPH wind straight from the North causing a crosswind situation on the East/West 700' and 1200' runways. Saturday's winds were better at 10-ish MPH, but it was mostly from the south!! [:@]
There were a lot of pilots in attendance, with the count around 130 at noon on Saturday! Everyone that wanted to fly got their chance.
As it is after 11:00, I will post pictures tomorrow when I get home.
Good night!

Thanks, Jim, for posting pictures!
As Jim said, he and I covered the event. If you haven't been out to Watts, you really owe it to yourself to go! I can't think of a better field in Minnesota!!!
While the weather didn't cooperate perfectly, everybody was still able to fly. I didn't hear anybody say that they didn't get enough flying time either. There were 6 pilot's stations, and it seemed like they were full - most of the time.
It was a great event, and there was an increase of roughly pilots over last year's 130!!!
A great big thanks goes out to all the smmac club members for putting on another great event!
