Default A question about TCI

First of all, happy new year!

I have recently found the TCI schematic which I am attaching. My question is, does anyone know if the "circuit breaker" is supposed to be a set of points or more likely (pick-up) a magnetic trigger? I would like to use this cicuit with a magnetic trigger, and without any points (contact breaker)..
Can anyone help?

Thank you in advance.

Cheers!

Default RE: A question about TCI

Looks to me that what you have there is an old fashioned electronic system designed for use with contact breaker points. The idea being to prevent the CB points from burning, by having the primary current in the HT coil switched by transistors. Personally, I'd advise you to buy a complete modern ignition system (they're quite inexpensive these days) as they work off a much lower voltage supply and have the benefit of auto timing.
