normal/reversed turning of motor
Hi,
I hope someone can lighten some things up for me.
I would like to know if normal rotation for an electric motor is clockwise or anti-clockwise when facing the propellor?
Thanks in advance.

Jan-Dirk Schuitemaker

Okay, I gotta think about this for a second... Standing in front of the plane... Prop rotates counterclockwise. Ah, I've got it.
Wired for normal rotation, most motors turn counterclockwise/anticlockwise when facing the prop. You have to connect the + from the ESC to the - on the motor when using most gearboxes to reverse it.

RE: normal/reversed turning of motor
Some are set up for reverse rotation, depends on how the advance is set at the factory however if set up for reverse they are advertised as a reverse motor. Either type will not run as well when run the opposite of the way they are set up for.

The timeing can usually be adjusted to make it run better in the 'common' direciton but it's easier to do with some motors.

RE: normal/reversed turning of motor
I just bought a Cabon Falcon and they say to reverse the plugin and put the prop on backwards. Does anyone make a cheap reversed pitch prop and wouldn't that do the same thing without running the motor backwards? It uses a ISP or ESP set up
