Aerial Photography
hello. I am looking to start an aerial photography business using The Phantom 2 Vision. Is this platform all that it boast to be? How do these things do in wind. Will an iPad work on this? I am trying to keep the cost at around $1,500. I am new to this having only flown a few planes many years ago. Is this the best RTF system you would recommend? I have a startup cap for the business of around $5,000 so any suggestion would be appreciated. I'm thinking whereas I have not flown a quad copter before I probably should start with something cheap. I could go higher with cap if compelled to do so. Sorry to bombard everyone with all these questions. I thank you in advance for any help anyone might be able to give me.

The Phantom 2 is more of the intermediate class of quads and is very popular for AP work. It is a very stable platform for different camera systems and will produce excellent results. Setup is very easy and it can be configured for FPV opening more possibilities. For more serious work, 3D Robotics offers the 3DR Iris along with Pixhawk autopilot system for a more robust system. Seeing how you haven't flown a Quad before I would go with the Phantom 2 platform first and then if the business progresses the Iris would be the next step. By all means please obey any and all laws in your country regarding AP work and flying these aircraft.
