Default Wire length

I am finally finishing my Don Smith very large Constellation, and I suddenly remembered something about wre length. This is a 134" span, 4 engine airplane, and I built it with electric power in mind. I put a floor in the forward part of the fuse, planning to put the batteries in that part of the fuse. I am wondering should the wires from the ESC to the motors be the long ones, or from the batteries. I have got about 3.5 feet from the batt source to the outer motors. How shall I wire it.

IAW a long, involved thread on RCGroups, they state that wires from the ESC to the motors are the ones to extend.

Well that`s good. That is the way the wires in the wing are at this time. Thank you.
