On my dx7 when I put the throttle trim down to kill the engine (nitro) I then could flip a switch and the throttle would return to the flying setting. How do I do that on my dx6

With the dx7 it is not automatic. You have to set it in the systems programing for each model. You may also have to do that for the dx6

Go to page 29 of the manual. It will show you how to setup the throttle kill function and assign it to the switch of your choice, preferably a spring loaded switch. No need to go messing with the trim function, Digital trims are too slow if you need to kill the engine fast.
