Question ranger ex prop.

can someone give me a lesson on prop size/ performance. . I took my new ranger ex out tonight for the first time and put it down before it got 100 yards away several times. it list a 1060 prop. on the prop its a 10x5 2 blade. did not use the flaps to get up and it seems underpowered getting off the ground. motor is a 3715 brushless outrunner. I tried 2 different batteries a 3c 5kmah and when to a 2200mah to take half the weight from it. is there another prop I could try with better performance.

thanks
jim

Make sure the prop is mounted with the numbers facing forward. A prop mounted backwards will produce much less thrust.
