Default Astro Brushless batteries

I have the JR Voyager with the Astro Brushless motor and am looking for the best battery set for this bird. I am now using a 7 cell 2300, I've considered 8 cell packs, but am concerned about the additional weight and don't know if I will really gain anything. I am also considering the LiPoly batteries, but don't know much about them. Can you buy ready made packs, or do you need to build your own? I'm new to the electric stuff, any help would be appreciated.

Default RE: Astro Brushless batteries

are these Nimh? because if they're then you could probably use the extra voltage.
