Default Filing suit tomorrow...

...against the LHS that irresponsibly sold me a Himax brushless motor that they KNEW I was going to put on my Slow Stick.

...that ____________ hobbies did knowingly and willingly sell to my client a high powered brushless type electric motor that through the aforementioned hobby dealer's negligence, did cause my clients airplane wings ($9.00 retail value) to separate in a sudden and violent fashion from aforementioned client's airplane fuselage. We hereby claim damages in the sum of $15.75 for damage incurred by aforementioned wing, D spur gear, and GWS 300 prop shaft to wit...

Sounds like a waste of time. Can't believe a lawyer would take it.

Think I'm asking for too much, eh?

Ok. I'll give a waiver on the wing, but I want the spur gear damnit!

P.T. Barnum. You were right.

And he didn't even tell you that you had to put carbon fiber rods on the wings to keep it all together!!!! I bet you had it over proped. Yeah, thats it, too big a prop. Ooooooooops, maybe it was the 3,300 10 cell Nimh battery pack that increased the wing loading too much.

The big question tho, DID IT HAVE VERTICLE????????????????????

Heeeeyyyyyy!!!! Have you been spying on me?

It was ONLY a 15 X 10 prop. Come on!

Vertical? Oh yeah. Until the wings came off. Well, actually it was still vertical then too. Only the wrong direction.

The SS is taped, epoxied, glued, stapled, and riveted back together. The Himaxx is now in the Beaver, whose wings BTW one can stand on now with all the carbon , epoxy, and tape. Added 2 oz. but I'll take the peace of mind.

I know a number of people who have "high power brushless" on there Slow Stick. Not for power but for duration. Plus the fact that you can snap a wing on the SS using a EPS-300 let alone a brushless.

Well, I think most of us put larger motors on alot of our planes. Especially when we don't just wanna fly slow boring circles. The hobby stores know this so they don't question. What woulda happened if you'da put 2 small a motor on it and it fell outta the sky? Matter of fact, what if it rained and you got a drop in your eye and the local forecaster didn't predict rain? You gonna sue him 2? This world is way 2 sue happy!!!!! Oh, I should shut up, maybe I will be next. Good luck gettin your 16 bucks back. I'm pretty sure this would be laughed outta court! Let us know what happens.

Good thing I didn't say I was going for my rifle. The S.W.A.T. team would be on my doorstep.

I split the wing on a GWS Pico cub using a an EPS 300 motor. Learned real quick you're supposed to reinforce those wings.
