Default 240v to 120v conversion

I have a new futaba radio that I'm trying to charge here in Switzerland. Problem is my 'swiss world adaptor' is not running the charger. It runs my 2-cell lipo charger and plenty of other things, but no go with the 9.6v 70mA charger for the transmitter. I hooked it up to the tester and is only reading 1.1volts. What's up with that? What do I need to get the pack charging? It's driving me nuts!!! [:@]
Thanks in advance

Default RE: 240v to 120v conversion

Maybe the charger itself is no good? It's just a transformer and a bridge rectifier, so any AC voltage near 120V should work fine.
