RE: what type of foamies
Try the any of the foamies from http://www.troybuiltmodels.com/3DFoamy.htm they are in the $30 range. The planes from Troy Built Models are inexpensive, look good and fly great!

2 for ailerons, 1 for rudder and 1 for elevator. You could probably use one servo for the ailerons but you would have to cut up the center of the plane.

Easy to build but FOLLOW instructions using GORILLA glue. Do NOT hit the glue with water or wipe the excess with a wet towell. He even cuts out the area for the servo's. Takes 2 for ailerons and 1 each for rudder & elevator. Comes with horns and wire supports. Works well with 7 AA 1400 and GWS 350c D drive 12-6 prop. Mike will talk and give you all the help & hints he can......WHEN THE NEW BORN LETS HIM..hehehe.
For his keeper planes he uses GORILLA glue. CA makes things a little brittle but he can build one in short order for testing....
