Awesome! You should tape 'em to the wings so you can see the vortices. I put two smoke bombs on the wingtips of my Stryker this afternoon and it was stinkin' awesome! you could see them both spiralling for a good 15-20 seconds.
It's also fun to set them off on the ground, then fly the plane through the smoke. That looks really cool as you can see the airflow around the aircraft.

I used the small round smoke balls that are like $1 for a 6-pack. They're about an inch in diameter and fit very well between the spokes of the slow stick wheels. They give off smoke for 30 seconds or less.
