Yeah. I didn't like them.
They're good quality connectors and all, but they don't have any polarity mechanism. You can connect them either way, and that's bad if you're trying to connect a battery to an ESC. It cost me an ESC... I double, triple checked to make sure I was plugging it in right, but I still got it wrong and let the magic smoke out.

RE: MINI dean on esc??
Hi Matt, the 2 pins dean that I have, do have polarity build in, ( 2 male on the I/p)
(1 fem. And 1 male on the output,)
the one I have in mind have a black body of maybe ¼ by ¼
I am just worry about the electrical contact, the wire of the esc is twice the diameter of the pin, I could manage the soldering job if I am reassure that current flow won’t be restrain.
And also is the weight difference of a 2s to 3s lipo will affect a shoky that much??
I will be outside mostly .

I use deans exclusively. They work the best in my opinion. The JST connectors just dont have a solid connection. The Deans are solid when they are connected.

The red mini-Deans with 1 male pin and 1 female pin on each plug will ensure correct polarity, as long as you are careful to follow the instructions on the bag when soldering them on. I have many sets of these.
It's definitely the little black Deans connectors that I don't like for battery/ESC connections. Too much chance for plugging them in backwards...
As far as the shocky goes... Depends on what battery you're using. Hauling a couple extra Kokam 340 cells around won't hurt much, but it will increase top-end power by 75%, if all you do is add the cell. Be careful, when you add Volts, you cause the Amps to increase too. If you draw too many Amps, the extra weight will be a moot point, as your plane will come down quick.
