i was looking into getting a radio and i was wondering what is the best 4 channel radio for around $140. I want a radio for mainly park flying and i'm considering this radio:

the Futaba is a fine radio but that model is a bit lacking on features as in .. no ATV adjustments .. it doesn't seem to have V-tail or Elevon Mixing options ( something you may want as you progress to different planes ) if you are set on a 4 channel radio i would recommend the HiTec Laser 4 it has all the features listed above and is only a few dollars more ( and is futaba compatable)

i have a HiTec Laser 4 .. ive not had any problems with it

I have a VG6000 Airtronics radio with the micro gear and they are a nice little radio. It has delt wing, v tail mixing, end point adjustments, high and low rates, exponential which is adjustable on high and low rates, and servo centering just to name a few of the functions. the provided servos are a little heavy but they are rock solid.

Phil at InternetRC is a good guy he has the VG6000 with micro gear for $165.00 You can see it here http://www.internet-rc.com/aivgse.html

The VG6000 is a great starter radio. It is very simple to use and will take you a long way. All four of my teenage kids have one and love them.
