Default Charging 3-cell lipo's with Triton

With a Triton hooked up to a 12V battery can you charge a 3 cell Lipo? Just trying to understand how it can put out the 12.6V to fully charge the 3 cell Lipo with a less than 12.6V input.

Yes, it will work fine, I have a Triton and power it with a 12 volt battery no problem charging 3 cell Lipo's
Maybe its because it charges slowly.

As long as it works I'm fine with it. I didn't want to find out the hard way that I need a different charger.

It has an electronical doohickie that steps up voltage from the input. That's why they say it needs a 12 amp power supply when it only goes up to 5 amp output.

The Triton has a voltage inverter built into itself. It can output well over 20 volts so charging four LI-Po cells in series is no problem.

it can actually get above 36volts (24 cells)
