What electronics with my JR PCM Tx
Hi All,
I'm just getting into electric flyers and I'd like to get a kit like the Slow-Stick or Yard-Stick. But I'd also like to use the JR 8103 Tx that I've already got.
What are the electronics that I will need to get started? I know I'll need a Micro Recevier, but I don't know of any. I've heard about speed controllers, but do these come with the reciever? What about the micro servos? Ahhh heck, does anyone just make/sell a package of all the stuff I'll need?

RE: What electronics with my JR PCM Tx
Todd,
Actually they do make "flight packs" that normally come with the RX and 2 to 4 servos and sometimes a ESC w/BEC. for example heres a Flight pack with a RX and servos that will work with your JR TX
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXFRT1&P=0
now you will need to need to get a Crystal for it to match yout TX Channel ( the link for the Hitec X-Tals is on the bottom of that page)
only other thing you need is the ESC i'd recommend the Castle Creations Pixie 20 if your building a SS. with a brushed motor now if your going to use a brushless motor you would need a ESC for a brushless motor. but as for servos and RX they don't care what motor is used or what ESC as long as the RX is compatable with the TX is all that matters.
heres a link to the Pixie 20

im sure there will be others with better recommendations though

Todd,
check in the manual for your JR 8103 you should be able to change it to PPM mode in the programming, which is compatable with the Electron6
otherwise you will have to buy a PCM RX that are normally quite expensive. but the 8103 should have the option to change it to PPM

I'd rather not change out of PCM mode.
Does anyone know of a PCM flight pack that will work well with a Yard Stick or Slow Stick?

On a related note, are PCM signals manufacturer dependent? Eg, can I use a Futaba PCM receiver with a JR PCM transmitter?
